Update: Monday, May 12, 2008
Good evening students. We had an excellent class this evening, focusing on beginning techniques and forms. I tested for my third degree black belt on Saturday and the whole experience reiterated the fact that Tae Kwon Do is truly founded upon the repetition of basic techniques. When that level of stress is placed upon you, there is no time for true “conscious” thinking; it all becomes reflex and instinct and I’m certain that if I had not taken my TKD training seriously, I would be much more sore than I am today. Mr. Dudley was kind enough to tape the Promotion Test. We will try to post that on the YouTube page soon.
Speaking of YouTube, Mr. Dudley and I will begin posting our versions of the forms on our YouTube channel. The next time you see me, ask me, “have you planned a day to shoot the videos?” Sometimes, a gentle reminder helps!
I apologize for taking down the recent Bruce Lee video post. That video can be found here and I will repost it soon, once I get the tricky code ironed out.
There will be an exciting Tournament for Kids this Sunday at 12 pm at the Hasten Hebrew Academy. An entry form can be found below!
Updated Class Schedule: No Class on Saturday, May 24th, Monday, May 26th and Saturday, May 31st.
Of course, don’t forget about Survival Camp! Please call Mike to schedule your child’s spot today! (317) 253-9649
Mr. Sodo’s Judo Seminars have been exciting and informative. They are Saturdays at 10:30 am at the Rec Room. As a special guest, we will likely be hosting Mr. Jerry Isenhower, Hapkido specialist and extraordinaire, although I’m not entirely sure if Jerry knows that! Jerry, if you’re out there, give me a call or post a comment on this post. Also, Jerry will be traveling to Korea soon. Perhaps, we can get him to post his pictures to the MasterMikeTKD Flickr page…?
Wow. Long post this evening. Anyways, one last thing: We will have our next Promotion Tests on Tuesday, May 27th, Wednesday, May 28th, and Thursday, May 29th.
